(Boulder-CO) J.R. Smith's court appearance was delayed today for what the Rocky Mountain News is reporting was due to negotiations on a possible plea agreement. ESPN adds that Vince DiCroce of the city attorney's office said he could not comment on the reasons. He said he did not know the new date for the hearing.
Could this be because J.R. is going to do what almost every celebrity/athlete/rich fool does when their actions are inappropriate and just offer some loot? Maybe, but let's just hope it's the last bad publicity J.R. has to endure for awhile because he has certainly made some big strides on the basketball court this year and is definitely a valuable part of this team.
