The Nuggets Cheer Crew

(Boulder-CO) Big props to Give Me The Rock for this post (you made me laugh and I appreciate being able to start my morning like that). Usually, I am only losing sleep because of what transpires between the nets, but now... I have another whole set of demons to battle. It's very funny, so click the the link.

Unrelated, but nothing aobut Chucky going down for what could end up being the rest of the regular season with a sports hernia? Personally, I could care less whether Chucky plays or not because the team runs better with Carter at PG and this MAY (emphasis) open up some playing time for JR... highly doubtful, but you never know.

But yeah, kind of a bummer that we're wasting decent salary on Chucky when we could probably spending that money elsewhere and getting decent production. Just another i na long line of injury woes for us, I guess.

And a real bummer because it gave stupid George another opportunity to throw a 22 year-old player with a fragile psyche under the bus YET AGAIN for his lack of coaching and his lack of player development:

(from http://www.rockymountainnews.com/news/2008/jan/10/nuggets-atkins-out-hernia/)
With point guard Chucky Atkins out indefinitely while awaiting hernia surgery, don't expect to see shooting guard J.R. Smith serving as an emergency fill-in.

"That would be a lot of fun - putting your worst turnover man per minute at point guard," Karl said. "That sounds like a fan call-in show (suggestion)."

Yeah... screw you too, George. I'm so sick of this guy right now, it's not even funny. Another gem from the Denver Post article on this:

'The 22-year-old Smith has played once in the past four games, during garbage time in Phoenix.

As for the personal talks with Karl about his progress, Smith said: "I've talked to George three times this year. It ain't really working no more. I'm going to go keep working, doing whatever I need to do to play."'

Three times? Really? Wow, George, way to work with talented (yet immature) young players to make them better. Just retire already. And way to go on releasing Bobby Jones and keeping Von Wafer (who has done NOTHING) -- not like we need perimeter defense, three-pointers, and hustle or anything. Really depressing.

I agree in principle on Karl. It seems nearly every game I have beef with one decision or another. I also agree JR needs to be getting more burn. Seems like Karl has some strange bias against him. He can play solid D (sometimes) and spreads the floor which I think we really need. Just frustrating.

And the Nuggets dancers are just plain hot.

Hey, Patrick from GMTR here. Many thanks for the shout out, glad it could make your morning. I was surprised to see how hot the Nuggets cheerleaders are, I'd put them up there as some of the best in the league. But some of those guys... just scary.
