Mr. Hyde is Back

(Boulder-CO) What else can be said other than the Nuggets are extremely schizophrenic. After playing great defense against the Spurs in a big time win last night, the Nuggets looked completely befuddle trying to defend the Jazz pick and roll tonight as they were destroyed in Utah, 132-105.

The first half defense by the Nuggets was as bad as it has ever been. The Utah Jazz were shooting a torrid 64 % from the field, had scored 77 points, and until Deron Williams heaved a last second 60-footer Utah had cashed in on 8-9 from downtown. To make matters worse, Denver was playing just mediocre offensively and were down by 23 points at the break.

Bring it in and wrap it up.

Utah ran the Nuggets out of the gym. There is no other explanation. The Jazz played last night too, so Denver can’t even hide behind the old back-to-back games excuse. There isn’t even a silver lining and you can check the box score if you don’t believe me. Up next is a trip to San Antonio on Monday night and I highly doubt the Spurs have forgotten about how things went on Friday.

A game like this leaves a bad taste in my mouth and an even worse feeling in my gut about Monday night against the Spurs…

Embarrassing. If there is a silver lining, Chucky got in there and got some quality minutes towards the end. He could be so valuable if he plays up to his potential. God, it's hard being a Nuggets fan.

*sighs* Thats all there is to do... sigh.

Least I'm a fan of the other Denver/Colorado teams and have the Avalanche to turn to....

I'm with ya. This game made me almost want to denounce my love for the Nuggets because of the pain it causes me when Denver loses to the Jazz. To see Utah have that kind of night at the expense of the Nuggets, not to mention the state of affairs the playoff, and divisional, race is just made it that much worse. Seriously, it looked like the Globetrotters on the Generals last night. I turned it off after the third quarter and watched UNC give Duke the business in Cameron Arena. It almost made me feel better about the Nuggets debacle. ALMOST.

Thanks for reading,

One of the local scribes at the Rocky Mtn. News summed it up pretty well...the Nuggets care, the sad thing is they could care so much more...

See you Monday at ESPN Zone for the Nugg Doctor/Nugget game night...

what's really sad is WE THE FANS already knew that the ONLY WAY WE WERE GONNA GET BEAT WAS AT THE 3 POINT LINE. the only problem is it seems as though WE THE FANS are the only ones that care. =P'

I SPECIFICALLY POSTED ON MELO'S BLOG TO WATCH THE 3 POINT SHOOTERS OF THE JAZZ.

I guess that just proves it.

Thank God it wasn't televised on ESPN or TNT cuz' I'd be really, really pissed. =P'

Frustrated Fan

Mr. Hyde, meet Dr. Jazz.

Perhaps you should change specialties and open a practice in Salt Lake? There seems to be an outbreak of winning there...
