Kleiza Exercised

(Boulder-CO) In a move that should come as no surprise to anyone, the Nuggets have exercised a fourth-year contract option on forward Linas Kleiza. LK is poised to have a tremendously positive impact for the Nuggets this season after flashes of greatness late last season. He is definitely going to surpass his previous season's averages of 7.6 points and 3.4 rebounds, and I wouldn't be surprised if he moves into the starting line-up in an over-sized shooting guard role when AI is forced to run the point early this season. He is capable of beating up smaller guards down in the blocks and on the boards and he is just as adept at guarding big two guards. Bravo, Nuggets Brass, you definitely made the right move.

Go Nuggets!

Please note that the Nuggets did not choose to do the same (at least yet) for one J.R. Smith.
